Rev. Peter R. Brechbuhl graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1984 (M. Div. and S. T. M.) with majors in New Testament and Systematic Theology. He previously served Our Redeemer in Quincy, Illinois for six years. He has served Salem Lutheran Church and School since 1993. He and his wife, Diann, have two children, John and Sarah.



Rev. Richard A Salcido graduated from Concordia College, River Forest, IL in 1976, with majors in theology and education. He served for twelve years as a Director of Christian Education in congregations in Wisconsin and Illinois. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1991 (Col). He served as Pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church, El Paso, Texas. He has served Salem Lutheran Church and School since 1994. He and his wife, Sue, have three sons, David, John, and Paul.


Mr. Craig Busseau, born and raised in southern California, graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. He has previously served at Lamb of God Lutheran Church and School in Las Vegas before arriving at Salem in August, 2006. Before his arrival at Salem he had 23 years of experience working in Lutheran churches and schools in California, Kansas and Nevada as a Director of Christian Education, principal, vice principal and teacher. Mr. Busseau and wife Beth, have two grown children, a son and a daughter.






Mrs. Chardy Lieb serves as Salem Lutheran School's Secretary.

Mrs. Maxine Lashmett serves as Salem's Business Manager. She is responsible for the financial management of Salem's resources as well as the physical plant.





Rev. Paul Koschmann, Pastor Emeritus, came to Salem upon his retirement. He has served the church as a teacher and principal in Lutheran Schools for 33 years (1947 - 1980). He served congregations in Springfield, Illinois, St. Paul, Minnesota, and Leavenworth, Kansas.
In 1980, he entered Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and was ordained into the pastoral ministry in 1982. He retired in 1990 after serving as pastor of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Bazine, Kansas. He and his wife, Joan, then decided to make Jacksonville their retirement home.
    Since his retirement he has served numerous congregations in the Jacksonville area as a vacancy pastor. He currently assists Salem’s pastors by visiting shut-ins and leading devotional services in nursing homes. Salem members get to hear him preach from Salem’s pulpit occasionally - when he’s not serving a vacancy.
