What is a ChristCare Group?
A ChristCare Group is a gathering of 3-12 people that meets once a week or twice each month for the purpose of:
● Mutual care and encouragement
● prayer and worship
● practical study that relates the Bible to everyday life
● service or outreach to others
The group is led by a trained leader who receives ongoing support and encouragement for his or her ministry.
The group independently chooses the topic of its study and the nature of its service or outreach.
In some cases, the members of the group share a similar situation or a common life experience. However, these groups, along with most ChristCare groups are open to everyone.
Who would benefit from participation in a ChristCare Group?
All those who desire to:
● learn more about God
● grow in their Christian faith
● develop a closer fellowship with several other people
● give and receive care during life’s ups and downs
● pray and worship God in a small group environment
● discover and develop their gifts and special talents for ministry
● reach out to others in practical ways with the love of Jesus
When do ChristCare Groups meet?
Different groups meet at different times. Hopefully at least one group will meet at a time convenient for you.
Where do ChristCare Groups meet?
Some groups meet in homes, others at church. You don’t need to have a group meeting in your home if you don’t want to.
If I join a ChristCare Group, what am I committing myself to?
ChristCare groups do not carry a big commitment. ChristCare Group members promise to be at group meetings unless there’s an emergency or they have to be out of town. Group members talk about their covenant and usually agree to pray for one another, maintain confidentiality, and treat one another with kindness and without judgement
